Many brands say they are made for women of different shapes and sizes and they are just not.
Don't worry at Birds on Bikes we get it.
Our Birds on Bikes Collections are specially designed to fit and flatter sizes 12 to 24.
We don't follow your standard sizing for cycling gear but more of a fashion sizing.
For example if your wardrobe is made of size 14 to 16 you will most likely fit into the Medium in the Birds on Bikes gear.
To determine your perfect fit, we recommend measuring your bust, waist and hips.
Our garments are made from the highest quality performance fabrics.
Follow our simple care instructions, and you’ll save some time and get more life out of your new investment.
After spending about a month trying to source a pair of bibs in below the knee lenght in Canada, I had to accept that there was no other place where I can get them than Birds on Bikes. I was reluctant in ordering something from Australia as I have not done that before, but dealing with Barbara was a dream....thank you!!! I have never been a hardcore cyclist but lately I have started slowly getting into gravel cycling and needed a proper fitting bib. No chance to find a good fit in the usual brands, and even those that fit were all above the knew lenght, which I do not like. I ordered an XL in the Energy Bib as I was worried an L would be too stretched out and see through (which has happened before) but there was no need for such worries with BOB, the material is excellent quality and perfect thickness, they fit great and are a dream to cycle in. I will probably try a Large in the navy colour of the same model for my next purchase. Did a few 30-50 km rides, some on gravel, and find the padding very comfortable. For anyone who is interested in the cost of duties and taxes, I paid around $35 when receiving the package from Canada Post in Canada. My most expensive cycling apparel item so far but worth every penny as these will be my go to bibs for 3 season cycling. Would absolutely recommend the product. For reference, I am a size 16 in bottoms and a size L in tops in most North American brands.
Yay Cami. I was just going through my reviews and came across yours. I'm so glad they arrived and they fit. I am going to look into better ways to get things over to Canada to avoid the Duty as well. Thanks for the great review. Enjoy your cycling. We'd love to get over there one day. - Barbara
As a woman with curves, I do not feel comfortable riding in shorts. I was really pleased to find padded bib pants length below the knee. I was even more please to wear them on a 2 hour ride and experience the comfort. They did not ride up or move. Really comfy!
I have been doing more bike riding now that my kids are older, but I have been so reluctant to venture into the world of lycra bike clothes. Being a size 14-16, wearing skin tight clothing is something that doesn't make me comfortable and I was worried that most bike gear for females would be made for svelte athletic body types...nobody would describe my body like that! So finding a brand that specialises in curvy women's bike clothes has been a revelation! And I love these Energy-bibs! I feel comfortable, and they are flattering! The only thing I'd like is a slightly longer leg, as they tend to bunch up at my knee...an extra 7cm would be ideal. Thanks Birds on Bikes! You've helped me feel confident wearing lycra.
I have three bids of different lengths and love them all. I am squishy type of lady and these **** me in and make me feel very confident and sexy. I usually wear XL but I am definitely a L in BoB having tried both. The knee length on these are very good.
I love the bib. Not going back to pants now.
I purchased the energy bib nicks in black. I am 175cm tall and and 100 kg. The nicks are comfortable to wearbon my ride to work (25 km with some unsealed roads) . They have good size padding that doesn’t extend too far up the back. The legs don’t ride up or cut in. The braces are wide and comfortable. The only thing I’m not keen on is the zip at the back as it feels weird and scratchy and is unnecessary.
Hi. Thanks for your review. I'm actually taking the zip out and all all new production of bibs once I run out of what I have will be without the zip.
Very comfortable and a great fit. This is a very well made garment and is exactly as described on the web site. I’m a ladies size 14 and purchased size Medium which fits perfectly.
They’re fantastic! I wore them for the first time on Sunday for Around the Bay! So comfy! I probably could have had a smaller size! But I’m extremely happy! Thank you!
Hey Ivy. I'm going to get down for Around the Bay next year, if I manage to get myself back on the bike I'll join you if you are doing it again
My first time to try bib nics and I am a convert, really comfortable around the waist. Features I really liked with these is the broadness of the straps, no digging in or pinching, the chamois padding generous and comfortable for a long ride. I wear a size 18 and bought size 18 to 20 nicks and could probably have gone a size down, they are very generous in size. My only criticism is the leg length, I am 175 cm and find the leg bunches behind my knee so about 10 cm longer would be better, but overall a great product
