Australian Made Cycling Clothing
Made here for a reason
Birds on Bikes creates women’s cycling clothing designed around comfort, curves and the way women actually ride.
Many of our garments are designed, cut and sewn in our Brisbane studio, allowing us to stay closely connected to every stage of the process—from the first pattern to the finished piece.
For us, Australian made is not simply a label. It is about thoughtful production, skilled hands and creating better cycling clothing for women.
Designed in Brisbane
Every Birds on Bikes garment begins with a practical question:
How can this help a woman feel more comfortable on her bike?
Our designs are developed in Brisbane with women’s bodies at the centre of the process. We consider how waistbands sit, where padding needs to be positioned, how fabrics move and which details will make the garment easier to wear.
The result is cycling clothing designed specifically for women—not men’s clothing adapted as an afterthought.

Made Close to Home
Many Birds on Bikes styles are cut and sewn in our Brisbane studio by people who understand the garments and the purpose behind them.
Keeping production close allows us to oversee the process, maintain our standards and pay attention to the details that can make a significant difference to comfort and fit.
It also means the people designing the clothing remain closely connected to the people making it.

Supporting Australian Skills
Australian clothing manufacturing depends on skilled machinists, cutters, patternmakers and production workers.
By producing locally, Birds on Bikes helps support these valuable skills and the people who have spent years developing them.
We believe there is real value in knowing who made your clothing and recognising the experience, care and craftsmanship behind every finished garment.
Better Fit Through Closer Production
Producing close to our design studio makes it easier to test, refine and improve our garments.
We can adjust patterns, review samples and respond directly to feedback from the women wearing our clothing.
That connection between our customers, our design process and our production team helps us continually improve the things that matter most—comfort, fit, movement and confidence.

Thoughtful, Smaller-Scale Production
We are not interested in producing large quantities of clothing simply to fill shelves.
Many of our styles are made in small batches, and selected products are made to order in our Brisbane studio. This helps us reduce unnecessary overproduction while offering more sizes and styles to suit different women.
Small-scale production may take a little longer, but it allows us to make with greater care and purpose.

Made for Real Women
Birds on Bikes caters to women with curves, women returning to cycling and women who may never have felt represented by traditional cycling brands.
Our clothing is made for recreational riders, e-bike riders, commuters, touring cyclists and women exploring rail trails or taking their bikes on holiday.
You do not have to look like a professional cyclist to deserve clothing that fits properly and feels good.
Honest About Where Our Clothing Is Made
As Birds on Bikes grows, not every product will necessarily be made in the same place.
Some garments are made in our Brisbane studio, while selected products may be produced by carefully chosen manufacturing partners with the skills and equipment needed for that particular style.
We will always aim to be clear about where our products are made, so you can make an informed choice.
Wherever a garment is produced, it will remain designed with the same Birds on Bikes focus on women, comfort and thoughtful fit.

Why Australian Made Matters
Choosing Australian-made clothing can help support local jobs, preserve specialist manufacturing skills and keep design and production more closely connected.
For Birds on Bikes, it also gives us the opportunity to create garments that respond directly to the women who wear them.
It means being able to listen, adjust, improve and make cycling clothing that feels genuinely considered.
