Birds on Bikes began with a simple goal: to create women’s cycling clothing that felt more comfortable, fitted real bodies properly and was made with care. Producing our core cycling pants here in Brisbane allows us to stay close to every stage of the process—from design and fabric selection to cutting, sewing and finishing.
Making locally also means we can work in smaller quantities, maintain greater control over quality and respond directly to the women who wear our clothing. For us, Australian made is not just about where a garment is produced. It is about connection, accountability and creating something better, closer to home.
Designed, cut and sewn locally
Our core cycling pants are designed, cut and sewn in our Brisbane studio by a small, skilled team. Keeping production close allows us to pay careful attention to the details that matter—from the shape of the waistband and the placement of the pockets to the quality of the stitching and finish.
We make in smaller quantities rather than mass producing, helping us maintain quality, respond to customer feedback and stay closely connected to the women who wear our clothing.
Made for real bodies
Women come in different shapes, sizes and heights, so cycling pants shouldn’t be one-size-fits-most.
Our padded cycling pants are available in sizes 6–24 and four practical leg lengths, making it easier to choose the coverage and fit that feels right for you. High waistbands, generous pockets, women-specific padding and no inside-leg seam are all designed to help you feel more comfortable on the bike.
